RFK Revitalization Bill Passed

by | Mar 5, 2024

On February 28th, the House passed the RFK Memorial Stadium Campus Revitalization Act which would enter DC into a 99 year lease for the property.  The District is stated to spend hundred of millions of dollars to transform the RFK property into a mixed-use area.

Some are hoping the passing of this act can help bring the Washington Commanders back to DC.  That decision, however, would be for the elected DC government to decide.  Several members of the DC Council have shown their opposition to building a new stadium at the site.
