A beloved holiday tradition is taking photos with Santa, and the D.C. area has plenty of places to capture the magic. Whether you’re in Maryland, Virginia, or somewhere nearby, Santa will be making stops across the region leading up to Christmas Day.
Virginia
Fair Oaks Mall
Starting Thursday, Santa’s Flight Academy opens at Fair Oaks Mall’s center court at 2 p.m., where you can reserve a spot for a photo with Santa.
Tysons Corner Center
Beginning Thursday, visitors can attend a special VIP Santa event on the lower level from 10 a.m. to noon. Instead of purchasing tickets, Tysons Corner Center requests donations to Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic.
Maryland
Westfield Montgomery
Starting Friday, Westfield Montgomery in Montgomery County will host a series of Santa-themed events. A sensory-friendly Santa experience, designed to support guests with sensory, physical, or developmental needs, will be held on Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Mall at Prince George’s
Santa arrives at the Mall at Prince George’s in Hyattsville on Nov. 16. Photo sessions start at 11 a.m. daily, and reservations are recommended.

The Wharf D.C.
Join the holiday festivities on Dec. 7 at the Holiday Boat Parade and Party at The Wharf, where over 60 decorated boats will be on display. Bring your own camera to capture a festive moment with Santa against the backdrop of the parade.
