Metro riders will get a sneak peak of the new 8000 Series rail cars and zero-emissions buses through April 3rd at the National Mall. A life-size replica of the rail car will be on display for passengers to step into and check out the new features. One future passenger noticed the amount of space the cars offer and said it will be great for after events and during rush hour. He also mentioned an area for passengers to put strollers.
The rail cars will also feature bench-style seating, wider aisles and new electronic customer information.
